Ways to Incorporate Some Ayurveda Into Your Daily Routine

For those who want to take a more natural, mindful approach to health, the practice of Ayurveda may be the way to go. But what exactly is it?

1. Incorporating daily massage
Wake up your body and start producing more oxytocin with a daily massage. According to Slow Beauty, a simple self-massage – or “abhyanga” – is very beneficial! s, it improves circulation, calms nerves, nourishes skin and tissues, and reduces anxiety – just to name a few of the benefits.

Want to try it for yourself? Starting with your feet, apply the oil with your hands and rub your body in circular motions. The more massage you do, the more in tune you will be with your body, Pink says. You can start to feel where your body is under pressure and work to relieve it.

3. Get out and bathe in nature
Spend some time each day connecting with nature. It can be as simple as “literally just opening the door in the morning, letting light into [your] eyes, and sitting outside.” .

4. Try dry brushing.
